PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT SHORTAGE OF AVAILABLE COUNCIL AND HOUSING ASSOCIATION PROPERTIES ACROSS THE SUB-REGION COMPARED TO THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO ARE WAITING TO BE HOUSED VIA THE HOUSING REGISTER. WE ARE UNABLE TO HELP EVERYONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN AVAILABLE HOMES

Once accepted on to the housing register you should understand that you may have to wait a considerable period of time before any bids you place may be successful. Even at this point you may not be successfully housed.

Customers are encouraged to consider ALL other housing options which may meet their needs, including low cost home ownership schemes, renting a home in the private sector or, for those applicants who are already a tenant of a housing association or local council, a mutual exchange.
