There is a significant shortage of available council and housing association properties across the Home-Link area compared to the number of people who are on the housing register. We are not able to help everyone who applies for housing in the area
If you are accepted on to the housing register, you may have to wait a considerable time before any bids you place may be successful. Some people who bid are unlikely to be successful, usually because they have a lower priority.
You are encouraged to consider ALL other housing options which may meet your needs, including low cost home ownership schemes, renting a home in the private sector or, for those applicants who are already a tenant of a housing association or local council, a mutual exchange. Please use the buttons below for information about all these options.
In addition to the options below, there is now a new scheme in South Cambridgeshire called the Right to Build, which is designed to help people build their own homes. For more information click here.
