If you are seeking work employment and training opportunities across the local or wider region the following websites may be useful in offering further help and information.

JOBCENTRE PLUS.
Use this link to the Jobcentre Plus website to find out about jobs and claiming benefits which you may be entitled to. Also use this link if you are an Employer and need help in recruiting staff. Find out about those organisations who are working with and alongside Jobcentre Plus.

BENEFITS ADVISOR.
Do you need help, advice or information about benefits? Use this link to answer questions online about your savings, income and outgoings, to get benefit advice, for you/your family or for someone else. You will not be asked for your name or address.

JOB & SKILLS SEARCH.
Use this link to the Directgov website to carry out a job & skills search. Search for jobs, training, career information, voluntary work and childcare providers across this or any area of the UK.

How to use the search
The search is easy to use, even if you don't have a lot of experience using the internet. To use the search box, simply type in what you are looking for and where by giving the name of the town or city, or by using the postcode of the area. For example, 'I want a job as a mechanic in Leeds' or 'I want childcare in S10 2SL'.
For job vacancies that include employer contact details and how to apply, you do not need to speak to a member of staff in Jobcentre Plus, you can apply directly to the employer yourself.

Save your searches
By registering with 'My searches', you can set up your own personal record, save your favourite searches, and bookmark details of jobs, training and career profile information. Simply register a username and password, and use them the next time you log on.
